Beverly was born in Jacksonville, FL on June 27, 1936 and adopted shortly after birth by Joeseph and Mable Richards of Orlando, FL. After graduation from Orlando High School, she worked in several administrative positions before joining the Florida Association of Realtors as a meeting planner where she gained the respect of many Florida real estate professionals for her attention to details and ability to solve problems quickly. After leaving FAR, Beverly owned and operated a dog grooming business in Apopka, FL. When she finally retired, she became a member of Elk’s Lodge 1079 and Does Drove 66 where she helped with the activities of these charity organizations. Beverly loved animals and always had a dog or cat, sometimes both, as part of the household. Big animals were a part of her life as she competed in the Rodeo Barrel Races on her favorite horse, Big John. Beverly was preceded in death by her first husband David Tucker, Sr. and second husband Larry Terry. Beverly is survived by her husband Hank Gerken, son David Tucker, Jr and wife Lori, son Steven Tucker and wife Kitti, stepdaughter Carrie Newham and her husband Mike, stepdaughter Chrie, grandson Dalton Tucker and wife Brook, granddaughter Tinka, grandson Steven Tucker, Jr and wife Jeniffer, grandson Mike Tucker and wife Amber, stepson Millard Long and wife Debi, and several great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Orlando Elks Lodge 1079 and/or Does Drove 66.
