Carolyn Sue Bon was born in Newnan Georgia on April Fools Day in 1944 to Nathaniel and Doris Quick. She married her husband James W Bon in Panama City Florida in 1964 and began a family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, and her sister Doris Jean Hull.
A loving mother with a wonderful smile and infectious laugh, Sue found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved working puzzles and reading books. Her kitchen was known for two treasured favorites: apple crisp and peach cobbler. Her beautiful afghans, cross-stitch pieces and paintings remain cherished keepsakes in the homes of her family.
Music was another of her joys—she especially loved Paul Simon, Carly Simon, and Jimmy Buffett. In later years she was thrilled to return to her home state of Florida, where she delighted in spotting the alligator that visited the backyard. A devoted college football fan, she loved to cheer, “Go Gators!”
Sue is survived by her loving children, Jaime Parham, Troy Bon, Russell Bon and their families. Her warmth, humor and creative spirit will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
