He was born in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania on March 3rd, 1960 and moved with his family in his early teen to Haines City, Florida. After graduating Haines City High School in 1978 Craig attended Auburn University where he was a part of the Sigma Chi fraternity.
Craig met and married the love of his life, Tricia Pulliam, in Winter Haven, Florida. They were married on October 3, 1987 and started their 33-year journey together.
Craig enjoyed a lifelong career in banking for several organizations that included Barnett Bank, Citrus Bank, SunTrust, BB&T and American Momentum Bank. During his career he served on the Board of Directors for the Greater Orlando Chamber of Commerce and the St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce.
Craig had a passion for life, his family and friends, live music and SPORTS! A lifelong Pittsburgh Steeler fan, he was equally as rabid about his Auburn Tigers and Tampa Bay Rays!!! He was able to channel that passion for sports by coaching youth baseball for many years
He was survived by his wife Tricia, his father, Donald Laverne Hazen, sisters Debbie (Hazen) Call and Sandy (Hazen) Ochsner and predeceased by his mother Edith Naomi Hazen.
Also survived by the absolute pride and joy of his life were his children:
Brandi Leigh (Hazen) McLeod (spouse – Matthew McLeod)
Joshua Craig Hazen (spouse – Angie Hazen)
Matthew Donald Hazen (fiancé - Victoria Miklas)
And the bonus for surviving the teenage years are his precious grandchildren:
