I lost my mom when I was 21. I was already very close to her before then. After she was my mom. She talked with me about life. She helped me with Daniel when he was a baby. She helped me with so many things in life and never made me feel stupid for not knowing. She was a special woman. I loved her and miss the woman she was before that terrible disease took over. RIP mom

Dorothy, Aunt Dot,
Special memories for a special Aunt. One of three special Children. Going to your house was a special memory as a kid, you treated your kid sister special at a time I'm sure she needed it. She misses you, as will all the Donovans.
god bless you and tell Uncle Tom to share his beer.

Mom I was very lucky to have you as my mother. You had great patients with me even with all the heartburn I gave you. I never understood the love you had until later on in my life. You were always there for all of us even when you were sick or home recovering from surgery. Thank you for all you have given us. You are a strong women and I think you earned a special place in Heaven. I Love You and you will be missed.

I love the picture of Dot that you shared. That is how I remember her. To be honest I think I was a bit envious that Becky had such a great mother in law. She knitted a yellow sweater, hat and booties for my middle son who also shared her birthday. One thanksgiving some of us shared at Becky and Mikes..in walks your mom in her cute shorts and top, pretty sure it was pink, and I remember thinking the rest of us have on pants and Dot is the one that looks the best. She was tiny and quiet and had so many talents, I know you have missed the mom you had. You were all blessed to have her and Tom as parents.

I was blessed to grow up in a great neighborhood with 2 parents and great friends. You didn't complain when I made you listen to my soaps when you were cooking. You claimed to not like continuing stories but you sure seemed interested. And I remember when Gary came home from the Marines and stayed at the house, watching Saturday Morning shows with me. And you and Dad came to all my Plays and driving me to Acting classes. I also remember when you took Stanley and I to the YMCA for summer programs and you didn't like the way the High School Showboats as you called them were doing Gymnastics and took over the class. The YMCA offered you a position which you turned down. Later you became a landlord and loved getting a rent payment. You and Dad will be celebrating your big 70 wedding Anniversary this year together...............................

Mom, when I came home from the Marine Corps, I stayed in your house and you did my laundry. When I moved out into my own place, you did my laundry. I droped it off and picked it up each week for long time. I was such a free loader, sorry for that, but you never complained. I love you.
