Fred Joseph Haviland

Fred Joseph Haviland passed away suddenly after a brief illness at Florida Hospital Orlando on Wednesday August 12, 2015 at the age of 46. Fred is predeceased by his faithful and beloved dog Nicky of 13 years. Fred is survived by his loving life partner of 21 years, Robert Leonard of Orlando, Florida. Fred is lovingly remembered by his parents John Haviland, Sr. and Starlene Haviland (McFarland), of Delray Beach, Florida, brother John Haviland, Jr. (Cara Brooks) of Dixfield, ME, sister Dorene Haviland of Colonie, NY, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and family and friends. Fred was born in Albany, New York on September 24, 1968. While growing up, Fred attended several Albany area schools. Fred primarily worked in management in the hospitality industry, but also worked in the home health care field as well as accounting work among other jobs. Fred loved music, taking care of people, and especially loved the beach and got to fulfill his dream by living on Hollywood Beach this past year. Fred’s wishes were to be cremated. There will be a Celebration of Fred’s life and a brief Service of Remembrance in New York in early October at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Fred’s name to a charitable organization of your choice.
