Gary Wilson, of Orlando, passed away on Monday, May 14, from complications of pneumonia. He was 71. Gary was born on November 11, 1946 in San Bernardino, CA to Dorwin and Louise Wilson. His father was an U.S. Air Force officer, and the family lived many places during Gary’s early years, including California, England, Germany, Colorado, Ohio, Florida and Nevada. After settling in Orlando, Gary graduated from Colonial High School and went on to earn degrees from Rollins College and Florida Southern College. Born with cerebral palsy, Gary surmounted many challenges, and took great pride in the fact that he lived independently and worked full time for over 20 years at ABC Liquors corporate offices. He’s survived by his brother Richard Wilson and sister-in-law Donna Tucker of Longwood, and many loving cousins. A celebration of Gary’s life will take place from 6-8pm Friday, June 1 at Dubsdread restaurant in College Park.
