Guido Joseph Bertella, age 86 of Cocoa, passed away January 14, 2012. He was born May 21, 1925 in Ellwood City, PA. An ex-POW and Army veteran, he served his county with honor during WWII earning a Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts among other commendations. He was a devoted husband, father and friend. Guido is survived by his loving wife, Virginia; seven children, Mary Norris, Carina Bertella, Gina Domajnko, Christina McCarver, Carlo Bertella, Charlotte Perkins and Peter Bertella; 13 grandchildren and one on the way. Mr. Bertella was preceded in death by two sons, Guido J.J. and Mario Bertella. Memorial contributions may be made to the Joshua Fund, 18940 Base Camp Road Monument, CO 80132.
