

ROBINSON, HERMAN C., (RETIRED MSGT USAF), of Orlando, FL passed away on September 3, 2010. Mr. Robinson was born and grew-up in Hickory, NC. After finishing school, he joined the U.S. Merchant Marines in 1944 and served on tanker ships in the Far East until mid 1946 when he transferred to the East Coast Sailing on cargo ships until mid 1947. He joined the USAF in 1947 where he served world-wide until he retired in 1970 from Wiesbaden Air Force Base, Germany. After retiring from the USAF he began a second career in 1975 as a sales representative for a furniture manufacturer from which he retired in 1993. He is survived by his wife, Jean M. Robinson, of Orlando, FL and his son, David Robinson, of New Bern, NC. A Memorial Service will be held at Pershing Avenue Christian Church, 2000 Pershing Ave., Orlando, FL on Thursday, September 9 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the church in Mr. Robinson's honor.
