Ileana Sonnabend was born June 9th, 1964 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Luis A. Suarez Sr. and Noelia Almodovar. She was raised in New Jersey with her five siblings, Luis Suarez, Joe Suarez, Lorraine Aponte, Edgar Suarez and the late Jeanette Suarez.
She was a devoted wife to the late Arthur P. Sonnabend and a dedicated mother to Thais Sonnabend and Anaelis Sonnabend.
Ileana was an excellent cook and an even more talented baker. She loved to travel and go sightseeing. Most importantly, she loved her family, especially her daughters. She gave of herself without limits and always went above and beyond for her loved ones.
Ileana leaves a legacy of love, family unity and selflessness. Though there will never be enough words to sum up how many people she’s touched, she will always be remembered and cherished in our hearts, minds and lives.
