Psalm 23
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. Amén 🙏

A few years ago, CSUSA was running the "Leave A Legacy" campaign. This is an interesting motto for all of us. As educators we often wonder if we were able to make a different. Yet, as adults and parents we wonder if we did it right when we think of our children. Ms. Cody succeeded as both an educator and a mother. From current students to former students, and even those students who simply just knew who Ms. Cody was, lives were changed through her modeled dedication, hard-work and the never-ending compassion she had for her students. This holds true even with her colleagues. Now, Ms. Cody as a parent was a new level of amazing. We only knew Kristian, but if all 3 of her children exemplified life like Kristian and Ms. Cody then I would say Ms. Cody's legacy will forever flourish. Ms. Cody, it was a privilege and a honor to work with you and to get to know you! I will forever be thankful for our time at RCHC and when I need to see your smile I will go visit the greatest part of your legacy left for us at RCHC...your Kristian! Forever in my heart...Mr. I

As I reflect on my interaction with Ms. Cody here are a few words that come to mind resilient, determine, motivated, thoughtful, gentle spirit, and encourager. You were quiet in your actions but absolutely proved you had a big heart for helping others.
I became your Principal about 2 years now and your commitment to our Warriors left an indelible mark on the staff. Even in your sickness, you showed what unwavering commitment looks like. You gave tirelessly and for that, I am so thankful that God allowed our paths to cross in the educational field.
I will always cherish our memories, thank you for allowing me to call you "mama" and more importantly you listened when given feedback. Mama Cody, you have impacted so many homes positively and for that I am grateful.
Every time I wear purple I will think of you and what you will always mean to our school family.
Rest in peace we love you dearly

My Dear friend Iva,
I cant believe you are gone.I send my condolences to your kids, and your grandkids. I remember when the grandkids were born we would share memories like that. We kept in touch on Facebook thru the years after you left Universal. Iva was the sweetest woman Ive ever known. When she spoke it was with a soft voice, she was always kind in her manners and a great coworker. It seems more and more good people are being called up to God, especially this last year. I cant even tell you all the people that have passed. I have a table in my sunroom with candles that I light for each one passed. I have added Iva there so that I may remember her and prayers for all who have passed. Going to need a bigger table if this keeps up. To the family keep in mind she is in peace with her heavenly Father, no more pain ,no more sickness. God had a different path for her, I believe. Iva will always be a part of my memories. Iva this is not goodbye this is until we meet again my dear, love you!

I got to know you more than I do with most teachers due to my son doing virtual classes at home and interacting with you to help him along. You were a great teacher, but more important is the way that so many on here are remembering you for the person you were. We can all learn from you how to treat others so that we all can be remembered so fondly by others when we go home. I know that you are in perfect peace now as you will be forever.

To a mother that never stopped fighting to do her best in all she did is a strength I will admire forever. Your perfection was as close to having an angel walking among many here on earth and heaven has gained a warrior. I will never forget all the good times we've had which were the only ones we've had, never bad ones. I'd like to thank you for always trusting me and providing me with love as one of your own. You will be missed and live forever through all those you have inspired and touched, Iva I pray that you comfort those dearly to your heart and always provide and protect your family. God bless you and my condolences to the Cody family.

Sister Iva Cody will forever be cherished in the hearts of the True Vision In Christ Church(TVIC) Family! While worshipping at TVIC, Sister Iva was a loving, dedicated member and also served as our Youth Leader, and made a great positive impact in the lives of our Youth! She was very educated, strong, humble and a loving mother who always wanted the best spiritually not just for our youth but especially her children. Sis. Iva also was a great visionary, and had the opportunity to even write and direct her own "Theatrical Play" about her life while at TVIC! We had so many many great times and so many loving memories to hold on to. We are certain her great legacy will be continued through her children. Kristian, Jessica and Brian we love you, we are praying for you! Be Encouraged and know that the sun will shine again! Sis. Iva, no more sickness and no more worries here on earth! I remember the day I met Iva. I was drawn to her. Within minutes, I was sharing my story with her. I wonder if she was thinking hmm this is a lot of information from someone I don't know. haha. If she did she hid it well. For years, she would encourage me and check up on me. In many ways, she was my mentor. She had lived the trials I was living and she had made it to the other side. I made it out too - because she walked beside me. I was hopeless and she gave me hope. I'm sad that she is gone. I know she ran into the arms of Jesus with that million dollar smile of hers. I will see her again one day.
Iva,
Your smile is what I will remember most about you :). You were so welcoming and kind. There wasn't a judgemental bone in your body. My son absolutely adored you. I think everyone that met you instantly adored you. You made everyone feel so at ease in your presence. You had such a rare gift.
Kristian and family,
My deepest condolences. It was a privilege to know your mother. She made the world a brighter place. She will be greatly missed.

My heart aches of the news of Mrs. Cody's passing. She had such a wonderful soul and spirit. I was new to Renaissance Charter School and I felt her motherly presents of making sure I had everything I needed and she gave great advice to me. I would laugh so hard at the wonderful jokes she said because it really uplifted my spirits. Anyone that came around her was left with a great lasting impression. I am so blessed to have spent the time I had with her. My heart goes out to her love ones and I give my condolences. I know right now she is making everyone laugh in heaven. You will be truly missed Mrs. Cody.

Words can’t express how lucky I am to have met such a kind, sweet, and selfless soul. I became apart of your family 3 years ago when I met your daughter and you became my school mom. Not only did you keep me sane and in line, you made my daughters first grade year one to remember. You always reminded me that no matter what, things would get better. You were there for me during some tough times, and for that, I am forever grateful. Loosing your will never get easier, but Londyn and I not have an angel with purple wings. We love you and miss you dearly. Until we meet again. Forever in our hearts and memory. 💜
