He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on September 28, 1936.
He met the love of his life, Ethel Jacqueline Farmer, and they were married on September 28, 1966.
James enjoyed his career as a truck driver for Certified Sling and also worked as a concreate driver and with the United States Postal Service.
In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, playing pool and dancing. He was a life member of the VFW Post 4287, and a devoted member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his daughter, Nancy A. Aldrich. His 3 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
