James Bryant Till

October 19, 1949 – November 30, 2025
Obituary of James Bryant Till
IN THE CARE OF

Baldwin-Fairchild Conway Funeral Home

James “Jim” Bryant Till AKA; "Mr. Crosslegs", 76, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025, in Orlando, Florida. Born on October 19, 1949, in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Mrs. Gladys (nee; Swain) Till and Mr. Cecil Bryant Till. Jim grew up with a deep sense of faith, kindness, and humility that would define his life’s work and the way he loved others.

Jim devoted his life to ministry, serving as a pastor in Washington, D.C., later in Nebraska with Glad Tidings Church / Good News Now, where he was the singles pastor, and eventually in Florida at Calvary Assembly where he served in the Outreach Ministry. He was also a team member of Guest Services within the Holy Land Experience in Orlando. Jim met so many lifelong Friends while there before going onto serve at Real Life Church in Orlando as an Usher. His calm presence, gentle spirit, and steady guidance touched countless lives in every community he served.

In 2012, Jim married the love of his life, Nora (née Johnston). Together they built a life filled with laughter, warmth, and unwavering support for one another. One of Jim’s greatest joys was his godson, Daniel, who affectionately called him “Papa.” Their bond was extraordinary, bringing Jim immeasurable happiness and pride.

Outside of his ministry, Jim enjoyed the simple pleasures that made life sweet. He loved watching old Western shows, cheering on his beloved Auburn Tigers, and spending time out on the golf course. His easy smile and peaceful demeanor made him a cherished friend and companion to all who knew him.

Jim will be remembered for his sweetness, his steadfast faith, and the calming presence he carried wherever he went. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family, friends, congregations, and all who were fortunate enough to walk beside him in this life.

He will be deeply missed.
