Jane C Duffy

Jane Cardamone Duffy age 89, of Orlando, passed away August 23, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Reading, she grew up in Morton, PA then moved to Philadelphia where she attended Hallahan High School. Jane worked for Bell of Pennsylvania for 31 years. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister and aunt. She was the embodiment of what a true Christian should be. Her loving heart told her that strangers were just friends you hadn't met yet. She was so petite but her small stature hid a courageous heart. No one could say a bad word against anyone she loved, she would defend them. She gave everyone the benefit of the doubt and had a forgiving spirit that is sometimes hard to find today. She was patient, she was kind, she was the definition of a true lady. An unkind remark never passed her lips. She was a wife, a mother, a sister, an aunt and a friend. She loved God, her family, her friends and her home and was generous to all. Her positive spirit, her sweet smile and her good heart will be remembered by all who knew her. Eighty-nine years would be considered a long time by many but a very short time for the people who knew her and will miss her. You are forever in our hearts, our dear Mom, and we know that your last few years were so painful for you and so we are thankful that you are at peace in Heaven at last. Until we meet again, all our love goes with you.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5-9 pm at Family Funeral Care in Hunters Creek. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 12600 Marsfield Ave. Orlando, Fl
