Mrs. Jean M. Murphy

Murphy, Jean 94, of Altamonte Springs, Florida, died Dec. 4, 2014, at home. She was born March 1, 1920 in Belmont County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Ross and Alta Hart Myers, of Bethesda, Ohio. Jean was a teacher of young students both in Ohio and at Orla Vista Elem. in Orlando. She was a member of the former Calvary Presbyterian Church for 54 years before she moved to Altamonte Springs. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister Marjorie and a brother Miles, and her husband Richard of 55 years. Surviving are 4 children - David (Nancy) of Tallahassee, Richard D. (Sara) of Springfield, IL, LuAnne (Bill) Preston of Altamonte Springs and Susan (Rob) Hill of Orlando plus 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at 9:30am on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014 at the Lake Ivanhoe Baldwin-Fairchild chapel, Orlando. Funeral service following at 11:00am.
