

J. Cazzie Hall of Orlando passed away on Friday, October 15, 2010. He was born December 26, 1918 in Doerun, GA and grew up in Ocoee, FL. He graduated from Ocoee H.S. and served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Philippines and New Guinea from 1941 to 1945. He was wounded in the Philippines and received a Purple Heart. Cazzie married Louise Spence after the war and they celebrated 64 years of marriage recently. He worked for Sears for 42 years in Orlando. Most of his time was spent as the manager of the hardware department, first in the downtown store and later at Fashion Square Mall. Cazzie won many sales awards while at Sears and was one of 27 Sears employees to represent their national pension fund in 1970. Cazzie loved his second home in Franklin, NC and spent part of 20 years in the mountains. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Downtown Orlando and ushered Sunday services for many years. He was predeceased by brother Rex and sister Veda. He is survived by his wife Louise; children, Steve (Vicki) Hall and Pam Hoveland; grandchildren, Curtis and Erin Hall, Kelli Wilson; great granddaughter McKenna Wilson and many nieces and nephews. Cazzie was a former direction of the Orlando Amateur Athletic Association. Service will be at Colonial Carey Hand Funeral Home on Monday, October 18 at 2pm.
