Jose Arvelo-Puig, 94, of Orlando Florida passed away on September 20, 2017. Jose was born in Lares, Puerto Rico. Jose spent 25 years of his life as an Artillery Sergeant First Class in the United States Army and served during the Korean War. Jose married the love of his life, Esperanza Fermaint on March 15, 1948 and spent 70 beautiful years together.
Jose is survived by his wife, Esperanza Arvelo, his son, Hector Arvelo, his daughters, Bexaida Ecks, Miriam Berastain, Myrna Ulrich and Mary Thomas. His grandchildren, Jonathan Arvelo, Jason Arvelo, Marilyn Ladewig, Christopher Thomas and Kevin Ulrich.
The first visitation will be held on Saturday September 23, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. The second visitation will be held on Sunday September 24, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm with a service to follow, at Family Funeral Care in Orlando Florida. A burial will take place on Monday September 25, at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims Florida.
