Jose A. Gonzalez

Born in Isla de Pinos, Cuba on March 17, 1933 to Francisco and Luisa Gonzalez, he moved the family to mainland Cuba at an early age to pursue jobs in mining and study business administration. He moved to Florida and married his wife of 65 years, Adela Rey, in 1959. They had 4 sons, Jose, Francisco, Mario and Ricardo. He moved the family to Puerto Rico in 1966, where he started and ran successful flooring and homebuilding businesses until 1979, when he moved back to Florida to again start and run successful flooring and homebuilding businesses until retirement in the late 90’s. He is preceded in death by his parents and four siblings. He is survived by his wife, four sons, 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

A visitation for Jose will be held Friday, July 12, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Family Funeral Care, 13001 South John Young Pkwy, Orlando, FL 32837. Following the visitation will be a committal service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd, Gotha, FL 34734.
