On the afternoon of July 30th, 2015, Joe passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife, children & grandchildren. Joe was 68 years old. Joseph Traver was born in the town of Suffern in Rockland County, New York on April 24, 1947. He was the first son of Regina R. DuBois and Guy W. Traver, Jr. Joe grew up in Haverstraw and Stony Point New York, raised by two loving & hard working parents. One of the things Joe was known for was his story telling. He would often tell his children about his honorable service during the Vietnam war & how he met their mother, the love of his life. He was also known for the many sacrifices he made for his family. Anyone who knew him, knew how he glowed when speaking about his family. Joe leaves behind his wife Jean, brother Brian, his five children (Julie, Mary, Joel, Jennifer & Jessica) & 13 grandchildren. Joe will be missed, but what he was known for in life will live on in our hearts forever.
