Juan Manuel Acevedo

He was born in San Sebastián, Puerto Rico on June 15, 1933, and married the love of his life, Gloria Acevedo, on February 4, 1956. Juan built a long and respected career as a supervisor for the New York City Housing Authority. He enjoyed gardening, reading, and sports, but nothing mattered more to him than his family. He was a devoted family man and a true leader whose love, strength, and selfless guidance shaped every generation.

Juan is predeceased by his loving parents and his beloved son Johnny "John" Acevedo.

He is survived by his wife Gloria Acevedo, children Danny Acevedo and Susie Acevedo-Aracena, 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and his siblings Milagros Perez, Pablo (Pabin) Acevedo, Antonio (Tonin) Acevedo, Susie Gagliardi, and Edwin (Elly) Acevedo.

Funeral arrangements include a viewing on December 2, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Family Funeral Care. The funeral service and burial will take place the following day, December 3, 2025, promptly at 1:00 p.m., also at Family Funeral Care, located at 13001 South John Young Parkway, Orlando, FL 32837.
