

Julia Martin Folks was born on July 2, 1928, in Ft. Myers, FL. to Edward B.Martin, Sr. and Erma Wagster Martin. She was the youngest of four daughters and the second youngest of six children. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Margie and Helen and one brother.She is survived byher sister, Jean andher brother Howard. The family moved to Pine Castle, FL in 1932 and Julia spent her school years living there.She attended elementary and junior high school in Pine Castle and Orlando Senior High, graduating in 1946. After graduation, she became employed by USAAF CivilService at Pine Castle AAF, where she worked until 1948,when she married Leon Folks. Julia and Leon raised two sons, Steven and Mark. After her children were old enough, Julia began working for the Auto Machine and Parts Co. on W. Central Ave., where she worked until retirement. They were members of the South Bumby Church of Christ, where Leon served as an Elder until his passing in 2007. Both were tireless workers in the church, continually involved in helping others in any way they possibly could, and always talking to people about their soul. Julia was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by all who knew her,Her sweet smile and loving kindness gave others comfort and peace when most needed. Leave the light on, JuJu...
