

Kasper A Mannix, Age 83, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at his place of residence. Second born and only son to Kasper & Eulalie Mannix in New York on March 16th, 1935. He attended St. Aloysius Elementary School, Rice High School, New York City and continued his education at Iona College, New Rochelle, New York.
After graduation, Kasper joined the United States Navy June 27th, 1955 where he was assigned to the Naval Air Unit. He spent four wonderful years flying around the world keeping the United States a safe place to live. On June 26th, 1959 he was discharged from active duty with honors to continue his life dreams.
As an honorable son, he followed his father in the electrical industry and continued his education to become an Electrician. He joined Local Union No. 3, IBEW where he spent many wonderful years. Kasper worked as an Electrician for LOCAL 3 for over 50 years as a Teacher of Electrical Engineering, and General Forman. Part of his great work has been seen at Twin Towers, Lincoln Center, Brooklyn Navy Yard, Harlem Savings Bank and Underground Tunnels South.
After retirement, Kasper moved from Mt. Vernon, New York to Orlando, Florida following his sister Rachel to enjoy his retirement life in Meadow Woods where he has lived since 1998. Kasper continued his active service in his new community of Hidden Lakes for many years by becoming active member President of the Homeowners Association and where he made many wonderful friends and neighbors.
He enjoyed a lifetime of traveling, the beach and all of his animals, especially his Daughter Louie, “Louisa” his “cockatoo”. He has also actively been involved in contributing to many charities and organizations.
Kasper is survived by Two Sisters – Sr. Maria Goretti, FHM NY, and Rachel F Mannix Orlando; Nephew Shawn Mannix of Atlanta; God daughter Joanne Ross and Family NY; Grand Nephew Daviot Mannix, Orlando; Grand Niece Gabrielle Mannix Granville and Family, Texas; Best Friend Ernesto, Woodley NY; God daughters and God sons, and many other family members, friends and neighbors both here in the states, Antigua, and Trinidad BWI. Kasper is preceded in death by Kasper B Mannix, Eulalie R Mannix.
