Lilliam Collazo Perez
Lilliam was born on May 12, 1937 in the majestic city of Ponce, Puerto Rico. She was the only child of Mr. Pedro Collazo and Mrs. María Luisa Pérez. Her childhood and adolescent years transpired in a home where she was blanketed with the love and protection of her parents, maternal grandparents, and her aunts.
As soon as she graduated from Ponce High School, Class of 1955, she pursued her undergraduate education at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico in Ponce. She graduated in 1959 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences.
After her graduation, she became a social worker at the Puerto Rico Social Service Department where she spent her career achieving leadership positions of great responsibility. She was not only an outstanding supervisor, but she was also a caring friend who went far beyond the call of duty to give her colleagues advice and support on many occasions. At the time of her death, she still maintained precious friendships with many of her former colleagues.
Lilliam was a member of the Ponce Chapter of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas for many years. In 1999, driven by a desire to be close to her adult children and her grandkids, she moved to the City of Orlando, Florida, where she cherished every moment she spent with her family until the time of her death.
Lilliam was a woman of unwavering faith who loved God and trusted in Him throughout every step of her life while praying faithfully every day. She was always certain that He would accompany her into eternal life.
