Louise Pridgeon McElroy born Nov. 12, 1922 in Trenton, FL passed away peacefully on Jan. 22, 2012 at age 89. Matriarch of a large family, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Tasha McElroy and is survived by children Eleanora Orlando, Von, Darrell, Bob and Hansel McElroy; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was a lifelong Baptist, a mall walker, retired from Blankner Elementary School Cafeteria, and known as the best cook in town. We will greatly miss the sense of comfort, leadership and encouragement she provided. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wed. Jan. 25 from 6-9 pm at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Thurs. Jan. 26th at Eastside Baptist Church 1900 Conway Gardens Road.Arrangements under the direction of Colonial Chapel/Carey Hand, Orlando, FL.
