

Martha Christine Peterson passed peacefully on Sunday, May 23, in Orlando, FL. She was still cracking jokes with the staff of Sutton Home on Saturday evening, and everyone that knew her loved her sense of humor. Born on Citrus Ave., in Orlando, on September 3, 1924. She lived her entire life in Orlando, except for a brief stint in Detroit during WW II. While there, she met Elmer ("Eb") Peterson, a dashing pilot, and they married. They returned to Orlando and opened Colonial TV on Colonial Dr., one of the first retail electronics stores in Orlando. Education then called Christine, and she received her Masters degree from Rollins College at the age of 50. She went on to teach at Colonial and Jones High Schools. She is survived by her husband Elmer ("Eb"); her sister Lucy; her son Jeffrey (Cornelia); grand-dog, Cody. A Memorial Service will be held at the Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1655 Peel Ave., Orlando, FL ,32806, at 3 p.m., on Friday, May 28.
