Mary E. Floyd

Mary E. Floyd, 88, of Orlando, Florida died on Friday, October 28, 2011. An Orlando native, Mary, known to her friends as Betty, was active in many local organizations including, Daughters of the American Revolution, Sorosis of Orlando, Daughters of the Confederacy and St. Elizabeth’s Guild. For many years, Mrs. Floyd worked in administration for Orange County Public Schools. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Donald) Jones of Indialantic; grandson, D. Bruce (Jessica) Jones of Jacksonville; and granddaughter, Laura (David) Gruber of Gainesville; and 4 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at The Cathedral of Saint Luke on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011 at 11 a.m. where Mrs. Floyd was a faithful communicate for almost seventy years.
