Mary Kathryn Stapp

Mary K. Stapp, known to everyone as "Ookie", passed away February 5, 2014. She was born March 27, 1927, in Bessemer, Alabama, to William Clarence Dillard & Florence Sullivan Dillard. She attended Huntington College & married Thomas W. Stapp in 1947. She is survived by her daughter, Jan Gaines Booth (James) & son, Thomas W. Stapp, Jr. (Lidia), 2 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, her sister, Dot Pettey, 5 nephews & 2 nieces. She is pre-deceased by her husband, Thomas W. Stapp, Sr., her brothers-in-law, Robert Pettey, Sr., Paul Wiggins & Ed Stapp, her sister, Evelyn Wiggins, her son-in-law, Harvey Gaines & her nephew, Bill Pettey. Services will be held at First United Methodist Church, 142 E. Jackson Street, Orlando, FL 32801 at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8th. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or VITAS Hospice Care, 2201 Lucien Way, Suite 100, Maitland, FL 3275l. She was so loved & will be missed by so many.
