Myra “BB” Mirjah-Thomas was born on November 4, 1934 in St. Patrick’s, Grenada to Frederick Mirjah and Agnesha Holas. BB spent her childhood in Grenada, immigrated to Trinidad and Tobago as a young adult, and eventually to the United States in 1970.
She was well known for her compassion and kindness towards her patients while working as a nurse. BB lived a life of deep faith leaving everything in God’s hands, often stating “tomorrow please God”.
BB loved gardening, sewing, and cooking savory West Indian dishes. She always kept a welcoming atmosphere in her home and showed her love by cooking your favorite meal. BB’s joy often came from spending quality time with her brothers and sisters and playful times with her nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
BB went home to be with the Lord on April 5, 2021. For those who knew BB, she was a loving mother and grandmother, caring sister and aunt, and a loyal, reliable friend.
To honor her memories and move in the same faith, are her children Brian, Jennifer, Curtis, Debbie, and Dion; her sisters Jean, Joan, Jacqueline, Sharon, Nayantara, and Sandra; her brothers Rupert and Ricardo; her grandchildren Brandon, Anastasia, Samantha, Kurt, Cassidy, Rashied, Dimitri, Dion, Jordan, Joshua, and Isaac and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
