Rita Josephine Gleeson

Rita Josephine Gleeson 83 passed away at Florida East Hospital Orlando Florida, on Wednesday April 20, 2016 at 12:00 Noon. Rita fought Alzheimer’s during her last years and this disease took her from us.

Rita was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania on May 21,1932 to David and Carmella Castellano.

Rita was a homemaker but was really Mom to everyone. She always made food for our friends, which hung at our house and many called her mom. She was an amazing cook and being Sicilian, her Italian dishes were by far the best. Rita was very active in the Catholic Church and was the chef for Blessed Trinity Church in Orlando.

Rita was preceded in death by her son William, daughter Patricia, husband Thomas, sister Geraldine, and brother Benjamin. Rita is survived by her Sons, Thomas, Dennis and Shawn, sister Lucy, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at Good Shepard Church, 5900 Oleander Drive, Orlando, FL 32807, at 11:00 AM on April 26, 2016. Immediately following at 1:00 PM, burial services will be conducted at Chapel Hill Cemetery 2400 Harrell Rd, Orlando, FL 32817. The family invites all attendees for a reception at 8504 Peppercorn Drive, Orlando Florida 32825.
