Robert Thomas Mora

Robert T. Mora, a wonderful Husband, Father, Brother, Boompa (Grandfather), Uncle and Friend started his life in Oak Lawn, Illinois and passed away in Orlando, Florida at the age of 60 on June 19, 2023.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Joni (nee Howell); sons Michael (Jessica) and Ryan and daughter, Danielle; his sisters Linda Connor (Bruce) and Laurel Dooley; his grandchildren: Summer, Mackenzie, Brody and Cory; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his adoring parents, Robert and Margaret Mora and his sister Jeanne Marie.

His devotion to his grandchildren was unprecedented as he delivered them to and from school safely, daily and being a fixture at their schools always with a hand to lend and smile on his face.

He loved volunteering his time with Florida Citrus Sports, often attending and reporting college bowl games and shaking hands with coaches and players who knew him. His uncanny ability to make friends wherever he went was a direct result of his “Gift of the Mora Gab” in which a conversation with a stranger could last longer than anyone anticipated, or you had to make a lot of time for a phone call with him. But you always got the feeling that he didn’t want those conversations to end. His voice will truly be missed.
