Shirley was a longtime resident of Orlando, FL, after moving back to the U.S. from England. Shirley spent several years of her childhood living in Wigan, England with her mother's family. Shirley worked for Orlando Health for 40 years and retired after a long career.
Shirley had many hobbies and she was an avid gardener, which was her main interest and passion.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John (Jack) J. Ferris, father Russell L Boaz, and mother Mae Langton. She is survived by her two sons, John R., and Mark D. Ferris of Orlando, Brother-in-law Edward Ferris and his wife Kyong and niece Kelly Ferris of Orlando, and her brother David Boaz and wife Veronica of Orlando.
