Teresa Ann Carr

Teresa was born in Winter Haven, FL on February 26, 1983 and spent her childhood in Polk City, FL. Teresa went to Auburndale High school and graduated in May of 2001. She graduated with her Associates degree in Nursing at Polk Community College in May of 2003.

Teresa worked at the Auburndale Library through high school where her love of books grew. After college she said “I am going to be a Neonatal Nurse for Arnold Palmer!” and she went to the interview with that determination and got the job. She worked for Arnold Palmer and later Winnie Palmer as a Neonatal Nurse for nine years. She loved babies and treated all of her babies as her own. She had to retire in 2012 due to her health but in that time she helped save hundreds of babies.

Teresa married her husband Kip in 2012 and they lived in Orlando, FL. She was a devoted wife who always put her husband’s needs above her own. She made his life amazing and simple. She would support his work, care for their home, and encourage him in all things he did.

Teresa was full of spirit and it could be seen in her variety of hobbies. She loved hunting, fishing, cooking, painting, reading and coloring. She grew up hunting and fishing with her Dad and would even skin her own deer. She also loved to cook for others and her Pumpkin Pies were always asked for during the holidays. Teresa would create art projects she could do with her nieces every time they visited. She loved the beach and would enjoy nothing better than a good book laying on the sand.

Teresa was a thoughtful and caring women and always put others above herself. Whether it was her babies at work, her husband at home, or even someone she played Words with online, she always wanted to make sure they were ok and would do anything she could to help.

Teresa is survived by her devoted husband Kip Carr, pet bearded dragon Ketu, mother Mejra Woodard, father David Woodard and many loving family members.

The Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017, 2:00 pm at Family Funeral Care, Orlando, FL.
