

Visitation will be held at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 1413 S. Semoran Blvd. Orlando, Florida from 11-12pm on Saturday, June 5, 2021.
Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 12 pm with Rev. Danny Strickland officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Vernon Solomon was born in Tampa, Florida to Cecil and Clara Solomon on May 22, 1932. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1950. He went on to earn a Masters degree in Accounting from University of Central Florida. He worked as a field agent with the Internal Revenue Service after serving 20 years in the United States Marine Corp where he retired as a Master Sergeant. He served as a deacon in several churches along the way. He will be remembered as a devout Christian.
In addition to his parents Cecil and Clara Solomon, Vernon is preceded in death by his brothers George and Richard Lee Solomon and his sister, Dorothy Gant.
Vernon is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Joann Solomon; daughter, Linda Spencer (Arthur); son, Mark Solomon (Wendy); daughter, Sherri Mabe (David), and daughter, Pamela Bacon (Shawn). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made in Vernon’s memory to The American Cancer Society, cancer.org, or the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, alzfdn.org
