Wendy Lilian Bond, 66, of Kissimmee, Florida , USA, died on February 8th 2021, after a valiant struggle with a number of long-term health challenges .

Born in Plymouth, UK on January 21st 1955, Wendy graduated from Barne Barton High School in Plymouth, and received further Administration qualifications from the Somerset College of Art and Technology in Taunton, UK.

Wendy met Paul while they were both working at St Audries Bay vacation resort in Somerset UK and they were married on March 2nd 1974.

Wendy worked most of her life in Admin, HR and Accounts whilst also taking care of her 2 boys at home.

She loved old cars, buses, and planes, especially the Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster Bomber which seemed to follow her around in her early years as a Royal Air Force wife.

Wendy moved with the family to Florida in 2001 and was thrilled to become a US citizen in 2014.

Wendy had a very eclectic taste in music and was a phenomenal home cook . Her freezer was always full to bursting point! She also enjoyed needlepoint, loved to go ten-pin bowling and was a formidable partner in a card game of Canasta!

She is survived by Paul, her husband of almost 47 years, sons Chris in Seattle, WA and Simon in Orlando, FL, together with beautiful grand-daughters Cadence and Angelina of whom she was very proud.

Wendy is also survived by her younger brother Steve in the UK. Her two sisters both tragically died in 2005.

If you are able, you are welcome to pass by the memorial gathering to be held at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 1413 South Semoran Blvd, Orlando on 17th February between 5pm and 7pm as the family celebrates and reflects on Wendy’s life.
