Gardner MA on December 13, 1930. She attended Fitchburg High School where she found a love for musical theater. She earned her registered nursing degree from New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing. Lee married Allan G. Spang and eventually landed in Hawaii where the family enjoyed 12 years of island life. Lee was a devoted nurse and found tremendous joy in her work. She was so very kind and professional and always treated her patients with the utmost of respect. In 1979, the family returned to Massachusetts, settling in Eastham. She retired in 1994 and spent many hours in her gardens and caring for her beloved cat, Kaili. She loved to entertain and had a profound sense of family. Some years ago, Lee developed dementia and was ever so slowly taken from us. However, her kindness and gentle nature were never taken. She had that to give until her last moment. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Al and her beautiful son Allan Jr. She leaves behind her daughter Debbie Spang, her son Stephen Spang and Sabrina Harmon, her sister Sharon Wollner, her nieces Betsy Gillin and Linda Pikul and her grand-nephew Andrew Pikul. We will miss you. Aloha ke akua. All relatives and friends are invited to join together to a celebration of her life at the Nickerson Funeral Home in Orleans on Sunday, March 15 from 11:00 - 12:30, with a brief service beginning at 12:30p, followed by lunch at the Orleans Inn at 1:00.
