Born in Primoreh, Russia to Mihail and Pelegia Chebotar (Shevchenko).
The family moved from Russia to Manchuria, China in 1922, where they resided at Station Impienpo of the Chinese Eastern Railway until 1932. From there they moved to Harbin Manchuria until 1944.
In 1940 Anastasia graduated from the Russian Red Cross Society courses as a medical nurse. She worked in this profession in Harbin and in 1944 she married Konstatin Lisetsky and moved to Station Sungan Manchuria, where their daughter Valeria was born.
On August 30, 1945 husband Konstantin was taken away by the Soviet Army which arrived in the area, and subsequently died.
Anastasia and Valeria were allowed to emigrate to Brazil in 1953. Assistance was received by the United Nations International Refugee Organization. Once in Brazil through friends Anastasia met and married an American General Electric engineer, John Hull in the Russian Orthodox Church in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. An order of adoption was applied for Valerie and she was given a new last name, new home, and a future in the United States of America.
The family traveled all over the world, Spain, Italy, Japan and Argentina to finally settle in Schenectady, NY. When John and Anastasia retired they moved to East Orleans, Cape Cod. Married for over 55 years John Hull passed away in 2011. Daughter Valerie passed away in 2019.
Anastasia is survived by her daughter Natalie Hull- Moloney and her husband Patrick Moloney, of East Orleans, son-in-law M.L. Buchanan, Jr. (Valerie's husband), of North Carolina. Her grandson M.L. Buchanan, III his wife Gina and their children Gabija and Matas, Her granddaughter Victoria Lee Buchanan of Oregan, who decided to follow in her grandmother's footsteps and became a nurse.
Visitation will be held at Nickerson Funeral Home, Orleans, MA on September 2, from 5 PM -7 PM. Funeral Services will be held at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Centerville, MA at 10 am on September 3. Burial will follow in Orleans Cemetery, Orleans, MA.
In lieu of flowers donations in Anastasia's memory may be made to the St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Centerville.
