Anne Miller

Anne Miller passed away after a brief illness on February 18, 2025 in Saint James City, Florida. She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Marguerite (Murphy) Danzell. Anne was born on November 17,1938 in New Bedford, MA.

Anne was a communicant of the parishes of St. Joan of Arc in Orleans, MA and Our Lady of Miraculous Medal in Bokeelia, FL. where she served in both parishes as an Eucharistic Minister for many years.

Anne was active in both the communities of Orleans and St. James City. She was a past member of the St. Joan of Arc Ladies Guild and a thrift shop volunteer. Anne was a dedicated supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, working to find a cure for this devastating disease. She was a sports enthusiast and supported Nauset athletics, Florida Gulf Coast University sports as well as all New England teams. Anne and Leo always had room for one more in their home and welcomed anyone in need of a place to stay, whether from the Nauset community or visitors they met from other countries as members of the Cape Cod Sports Ambassadors. Anne loved to read, knit and host dinner for her family and friends. She also enjoyed being a member of the American Legion in St. James City. Anne worked for many years at the Bradlees Department store in Orleans.

Anne was married to her late husband, Leo, for 57 years. She is survived by her children, Lee of Orleans, Brian (Liz), of Longmeadow, MA, Jackie of Harwich, and Clayton Reynard(Judy) of Orleans. Grandchildren Brandon(Mary Kate), and Caroline Miller, Olivia Miller-Frasier and Michael(Andrea), Jonathan (Triest) and Thomas (Elizabeth) Reynard, and Great Grandson Bridger Reynard. Anne was also predeceased by her beloved son, Terry.

Calling hours will be held at the Nickerson Funeral Home in Orleans on Friday, March 28 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 29 at 11:00 at St. Joan of Arc Church, Canal Rd., Orleans, MA. Burial will be private.
