We are going to miss Betty's joy of the small things. She welcomed us to Corliss Way in her quiet way and we were comforted to see her lights on at night. She made us smile every time we saw her. Betty's no nonsense approach to life was refreshing. She enjoyed every moment. Rest in peace Betty and we send our deepest sympathy to her family and to Ken and Nancy Silvia who gave from their hearts. 

I only met Betty once, as a volunteer for Nauset Neighbors, to do some grocery shopping for her.  In the very short time that I was with her I could easily see that she was a kind and gentle soul, and someone that I would very much enjoy getting to know.  Sadly, I didn't get that chance, but will remember her fondly and pray that she rests in peace.  My condolences to her family.

Betty was the loveliest neighbor one could have--- she was rather shy, I think, but was always there with a smile and a little conversation when we saw each other in the yard, by the mailbox or even in the market-----   Our businesslike discussions along the property line were always congenial and ended in agreement all around.  Even our dogs got along although sometimes ours did not respect the property line and had to be reminded by either Betty or us!
Betty  always alerted us when there was something going on that we didn't know about at our place, like the time our young grandson fell off our pier and we didn't happen to be looking!  We also enjoyed going with her to the Corliss Way meetings each year--- and only wish we had been able to lure her over to our place for a little more socializing.  We will miss seeing the lights across the hedge and knowing she was there.  And we will surely miss her,  written with affection, Ted & Stevie Wolf  

So sorry to hear that Betty has passed away.  She has been a staple in our neighborhood since we moved here about 20 yrs ago.  We will miss her.
