She moved to Boston and attended the Burdett School of Business. After graduation she stayed in Boston and worked for CIBA Chemical Corp. as a secretary for the sales staff until her marriage in 1940 to Normand F. Plante, Sr.
They moved to Rhode Island and raised their family but returned every summer to the family home in Eastham and moved there permanently when they retired in 1979.
Beverly was a wonderful cook and no meal was ever complete without her homemade breads, rolls and great deserts. She was an avid gardener, bird watcher and hiker. Beverly and her husband, Normand, enjoyed many trips within the United States and Europe with the Eastham COA.
