Born in 1937 to Florence Chandler and William "Scotie" Duff MacGregor, she spent her childhood moving throughout Cape Cod alongside her mother, who worked as a live-in nurse for local families. She attended the Northfield School for Girls near Greenfield, Massachusetts, and later graduated from the nursing program at Boston Children's Hospital as an RN.
After marrying Stanley "Stan" Snow of Orleans, she devoted herself to raising their three children while also caring for family members, neighbors, and friends whenever they needed a helping hand. Her kindness, generosity, and quiet dedication to others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
As her children grew older, she became deeply involved in the community she loved. Through her work with the Snow Library and the Orleans Historical Society, she shared her passion for local history, often leading historical walking tours, teaching local history in elementary schools, and helping preserve the stories of Orleans for future generations.
A lifelong member of the Church of the Holy Spirit, where she was the first baby baptized, she remained devoted to the parish through decades of volunteer service. Giving back was simply part of who she was, and she spent much of her life working to strengthen and enrich the community she cherished.
At home, she found joy in tending her gardens, listening to records, and singing songs from her favorite musicals with her grandchildren. In recent years, one of her greatest pleasures was becoming a great-grandmother. She treasured every moment spent with her six great-grandchildren and delighted in watching them grow.
She was predeceased by her grandson, Cory Winkler.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Stan Snow; her children, James, Julie, and Alan; her grandchildren, Alex Winkler, Sierra Ferrari, Victoria Snow-DelPonte, and Harrison Snow; and six great-grandchildren.
