Caitlin Jeanne O'Hara

“Thundercat"

Caitlin was born in Hackensack, New Jersey, on September 19, 1987, the treasured youngest of three children to Thomas and Susan O’Hara of Eastham MA and adored sister of Kristin and Peter O’Hara; she passed away peacefully July 1, 2017, in Toronto, Canada, surrounded by David Reinhardt, her soul mate of 10 years, her sister and friends.

Caitlin moved to Cape Cod with her family in June 1991, and officially became a wash ashore. She graduated from Nauset Regional High School in Eastham in 2005 and directly after from the cosmetology program at Lower Cape Tech in Harwich.

Caitlin was an old soul who knew exactly who she was. She was unapologetically open hearted and always ensured that the least among us, right down to the fluffy and furry were taken care of and included. She loved her job as a cosmetologist and colorist extraordinaire at In Nature Hair Salon in Eastham. She was a roller derby badass, metal lover, punk rocker and Disney lyric specialist who never forgot the birthday cake or the piñata.

Caitlin leaves behind her and Dave’s dog child Molly and their unique circle of friends whom she chose her family. She also leaves her grandmother Jeanne Leather, her second parents Jayne O’Brien and Dave Reinhardt as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Caitlin joins her beloved Aunt Sue, grandfathers Peter Leather and John O’Hara, and her grandmother Ursula O’Hara.

A Celebration of her Life is planned for July 23, 2017 at the Orleans/Eastham Elks Lodge at 2 pm. All are welcome to attend and join in remembering our girl. Any additional funds will be placed in a trust to continue Caitlin and Dave’s desire to help the at risk youth on Cape Cod.
