Carole Joan Taylor
February 20, 1937 – August 30, 2020
Carole Joan Taylor (Lynch), 83, of North Eastham, MA passed away peacefully on August 30th after a long illness.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Carole started working at the age of 16 in the NYSE quickly rising to executive secretary. In 1957 she married James Z. Taylor MD and moved to Philadelphia, PA where she became an executive secretary to the V.P. at DeHaven, Townsend, Crouter & Bodine Brokerage House. After helping put her husband through medical school Carole moved seamlessly into navy life, where she was instrumental in starting the first daycare for military personnel at Lakehurst Naval Air Station in New Jersey and started raising her family. In later years Carole achieved her college degree from Community College of the Finger Lakes and became a fierce advocate for children with special needs, holding a board position on the Committee for the Handicap in Geneva, NY for many years.
Her love for Cape Cod was immense and it is there that she and her husband settled into a joyful retirement. She leaves behind her loving and devoted family; her husband of 62 years James Z. Taylor MD, her children Jennifer, Jim, and Jonathan, her son-in-law Laurence, her daughter-in-law Beth, her adored grandchildren Jack, Alyssa, Connor, Emily & Clara, her sister Cathy Jones and brother Barry Lynch as well as her many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Internment will be private with a Celebration of Life to follow in the future.

Dr. Taylor & Family,
I was sad to see that Carole passed away recently. I did not know her well, but she always seemed like a pleasant person whenever I saw her - either in the accounting office, at a Geneva High lacrosse game, or sometimes around town. She was always ready with a smile or a warm hello. I am truly sorry about your loss.
I hope that the entire Taylor family is doing well. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Dear Jim, Jon, Jennifer, Jimmy and Family,
No words could possibly exist, to express how sorry I am for Carole's passing. I was so incredibly shocked and saddened by this news. She was such a beautiful person, and what was so remarkable, was the devotion that she had for her family. Her family was her life and she was always there. As a friend, she was one of a kind and a true gift. She was so kind, loving, witty and so much fun to be with. Always there to lend a helping hand. So many memories that I have always treasured and will keep in my heart forever. I'm truly heartbroken for all of you by this news.
In Sympathy and Friendship,

Aunt Carole was the coolest Aunt you could have. I have so many great memories of visiting the Taylor House in Geneva and running around with Jim on Holidays etc. Aunt Carole was always full of energy and fun; cooking great meals for us or getting us fun toys. Any interaction with my Aunt always involved lots of laughs, lots of positivity and light. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
