

Diane is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Mark, daughters, Rebecca Spengler of Oakland, CA; Lauren Spengler Langham of Arlington, MA; their husbands, Dusty Caruso; Gregory Langham; granddaughter, Corinna M. Caruso and brother Michael Mandile of Nashua.
Diane held a B.S. degree from UMass/Amherst and a M.S. from Northeastern University. She worked as a Speech Therapist for ten years with the Fairfax County Early Childhood/Head Start program in Virginia, two years at Hardy Elementary in Arlington, MA and nine years at Lexington Public Schools. She retired from the Community Charter School of Cambridge in 2018. Diane was dedicated to children and motivated to help kids to communicate with each other and build self-esteem.
Diane and Mark were married in 1976 and lived most recently in Arlington before moving to Orleans on Cape Cod in 2019. Diane was adored by her nephews and nieces, her granddaughter and grandnieces and nephews for her warm, engaging, and playful spirit.
A memorial service to celebrate her joyous life will be held later in the fall on Cape Cod. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lower Cape Outreach Council at lcoutreach.org or the Cure Alzheimer Fund at curealzfund.org.
