Obituary of Donna Ellis Burns
IN THE CARE OF

Nickerson Funeral Home

Donna Ellis (Jacques) Burns 78 of Wakefield, MA, and Cape Cod, passed away peacefully on September 4th, 2023 surrounded by family.

Donna was a true free spirit, from her Woodstock days through moving to Cape Cod where she opened her two stores “Amazing Lace”. She was extremely gifted in the repair, and restoration of vintage lace, and clothing. Her kindness and warmth was evident in her ability to make friends wherever she went. She never forgot a birthday, anniversary, or any other special occasion, and was always quick to send a special card to her loved ones, including her 5 Grandchildren, and 6 Great Grandchildren. She was an extremely loving and dedicated grandmother, and great grandmother.

Donna was always quick to give a compliment and strike up a conversation. She always showed compassion, understanding, and support for all those she met along the way from her childhood in Wakefield MA, to her years spent here on Cape Cod, and later in both North Carolina, and Florida.

Donna was predeceased by her late son Paul Robert Fazio of Wakefield, MA, whom was always with her in spirit, and so loved. She is survived by her two sons James Fazio, and wife Edythe Fazio of Eastham, MA. Her son Rusty Burns, and wife Thea Thorup of Copenhagen, Denmark, a brother Steven, and wife Carolyn (Sissy) Jacques of Florida, her sister Connie, and husband Richard Grant of New Hampshire, 3 Grandchildren from Cape Cod, Amanda, Ashley, and Paul. 2 Grandchildren from Copenhagen, Denmark, Benjamin, and Ingrid-Sophie Burns, her niece Michelle, and husband Stuart Smith of Florida, her nephew, Steven Jacques Jr., of Florida, and 6 Great Grandchildren Rayden, Dondre, Hailey, Logan, Madeline, and Elijah, all of Cape Cod, as well as many cousins, and dear friends. She will be fondly remembered by all.

Services will be announced at a later date.
