Dorothy Alice Danner

A beloved aunt and cherished friend passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025 at Maplewood At Mayflower in W. Yarmouth Ma. At the age of 95. Dorothy was born 3/26/1930 at Hartford Hospital, Hartford Ct, the youngest daughter of the late Joseph Danner and Amelia (Margelot) Danner.

She was a Proud Graduate of Hartford Hospital School of nursing in 1951. Dorothy’s career flourished as she held different Supervisory positions at Hartford Hospital over the years and retired after 32 years. She dearly loved her career as a nurse, and she was a wonderful mentor to many younger nurses over her many years there. She was a very nurturing Aunt who was very much involved with her whole family over the years.

She retired to Brewster Ma. On Cape Cod which she had vacationed to frequently over the years before her retirement. She had several volunteer jobs she did on the Cape, Meals on wheels for 25 years, Nauset Neighbors for many years, Brewster council on aging (COA).

She leaves her Nephews Bruce Joslin, Steve Danner and his wife Wanda, and Paul Danner and his wife Linda; as well as her nieces Sue Janssen and her husband Bill, Maria Joslin, and Nancy Joslin.

She also leaves several Great and Grand Nieces & Nephews.
