I met Edna with Nauset neighbors and our first meeting was for us to go to an event. We laughed and Edna told us funny stories and shared stories about her family. We took her for a lobster roll on the way home and she let us know how much she loved her lobster roll and her favorite cape cod potato chips . We were instant friends. I wish there were more Edna’s in the world. My condolences to her family.

Nancy and I want to offer our sincere condolences to cousins Linda and Susan on the passing of their blessed mother and our beloved Aunt Edna.
My fondest memories of my Aunt Edna were our family vacation to the Mass and Cape Cod. This was my only visit to the East Coast at the young age of 4-5 to visit cousin Linda, Aunt Edna and Uncle Charles the Fireman.
Aunt Edna made me feel very special as the girls (Linda and my sis Claudia) had each other as play mates and I only had my brother Allan who probably was still crawling on all-fours.
I remember Aunt Edna bringing me a couple of sweet pieces of nougat with jelled candy at bedtime. Each piece would fit in a cereal spoon, but they were heavenly to me. And as she said, "This is our secret Brian!"
As I grew in later years and the Massachusetts Heegs visited Michigan, I learned from Aunt Edna that what we called Pop in the Great Lakes was really Tonic? Well at least that is what it was called in the New England.
I also remember her laugh which others previously mentioned. When the Mass Heegs visited Michigan, evenings after dinner was a time to play various card games. We always knew when Aunt Edna won.... we would hear her unmistakable laugh!
Love to Linda, Susan and Families
Cousin Brian, Nancy and Family

We were "campers" at the KOA on Pine Island, Florida when we met Charlie and Edna. They both were such fun to know. Edna
always asked that I save Charlie a seat up front for any event when I was Activities Director. I'd meet them at the door and we would both usher him in. I'm not surprised that they met when Edna was entertaining for the USO....she was such a hoot! Lots of wonderful memories of her .

My sympathy to the family.....your memories will sustain you in the days ahead.

My heart is broken and I am so sad of the loss of Edna. There are way too many great memories for me to list. All I know is that her and the entire Heeg family have always been very kind, respectful and sincere to the McNeill family. Edna always had a genuine being about herself. I will miss her smile and laugh and just her kindest soul. RIP Edna Heeg.
