Edward P. "Ned" DeCourcey

On Wednesday, February 8th “Ned" passed peacefully away at home. He was the devoted husband of Lorraine (Bourque) DeCourcey, with whom he shared 61 wonderful years of marriage.

Ned was a graduate of Brighton High School and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Northeastern University, Class of 1962. He spent his professional life as a salesman of pneumatic components in industries covering the New England area.

Besides his wife, he leaves his four daughters: Karen Spitler and husband Bruce of Marshfield, Patricia Macdonald and her husband Neil of Salem, VA, Carol DeCourcey of Maynard, and Jacqueline Ibbitson and her late husband Dan of Denver, CO and their five grandchildren Tristan, Brian, Clare, Elena and Kathryn.

Ned and Lorraine enjoyed family time at their Cape home and many worldwide trips in their retirement years. We will all terribly miss his humor, determination and love.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 13th at 11 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 2282 State Highway (RT 6), Wellfleet, MA 02667. Visitation before from 9 AM to 10 AM at Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans, MA 02653. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Saint Vincent du Paul (SVDP) of Our Lady of Lordes, PO Box 1414, Wellfleet, MA 02667-1414.
