Ed was born and raised in North Adams. She was born March 22nd, 1931 to Edward and Ethel Brennan. She graduated from North Adams State with a teaching degree. She met her husband while teaching in Williamstown, MA. They started a family and moved to Richard's hometown of Orleans, MA where they shared many great memories. Ed was a teacher in the Chatham and Nauset school systems. She loved reading and her daily crossword puzzle.
She was predeceased by her parents and brothers Donald (Eileen) Brennan, Francis (Margie) Brennan. She is survived by her four children Wes (Nancy) Brown, Todd (Teresa) Brown, Amy (Barry) MacMartin, Sarah (Brian) Rodoalph and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
