
Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1924, Eleanor was the youngest daughter of Walter H. and Laura Baraby Connery.
Eleanor attended St. Ann’s Academy in Marlborough, Massachusetts through 8th grade. She then attended Framingham High School, graduating in 1942. Eleanor went on to attend Framingham Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1944. In 1945 she married the love of her life, Benjamin Bartolini. Their marriage would endure for nearly 68 years until Ben passed away in 2013. She also worked as a registered nurse for several years before leaving to focus on raising her family.
Cape Cod eventually became a summer home for Eleanor in 1957 and became her year-round hone in1977.
After raising her children, Eleanor started a new chapter, travelling with her husband and eventually settling in their final home in Delray Beach, Florida.
Eleanor had a quiet appreciation of things that made life beautiful. She loved gardening and spent many hours tending her flowers and plants. She was an enthusiastic reader who loved a good mystery novel. Her faith was important to her and attending church remained a meaningful part of her life.
Above all else, Eleanor loved her family. She cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren. In over a century, she witnessed an extraordinary amount of history and change yet the things that mattered most to her remained remarkably constant, faith, family, friendship, home and the people she loved.
Eleanor was predeceased in death by her parents, Walter and Laura Connery, her husband Benjamin Bartolini and two of her daughters, Laura Bartolini and Bonnie Bartolini Trott, her brother, Walter Connery II. and her sister June West.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Benoit and her husband Jim, her son Bruce Bartolini and his wife Elaine, her son Barry Bartolini and her son in law, Timothy Trott. She also leaves behind four adoring grandchildren, Benjamin Bartolini, Bethany Bartolini Sepe, Hannah Trott and Gina Trott as well as two great grandchildren, Abby Marilyn and Lucy Eleanor Sepe and several nieces and nephews.
A service of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 14th at 11:00 at St. Joan of Arc Church, Orleans Massachusetts. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Eastham, Massachusetts.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Nickerson Funeral Home, Orleans, Massachusetts.
