Eleanor Livingston

Eleanor was born in Chatham to the late Flavius and Sadie (Bassett) Rogers. She was a graduate of the Chatham High School class of 1946. She was an independent woman who enjoyed her cats, gardening, working in her green house, and helping others. She was active in the community and volunteered for meals on wheels, and also volunteered at the thrift store in Orleans. She also enjoyed visiting with and the company of all her friends and relatives.

Eleanor is survived by her brother Warren Rogers and his wife Winnifred Rogers, a brother-in-law Robert Livingston, and her nephews Paul and Lawrence Rogers. She was preceded in death by her brother Flavius Rogers, Jr.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2011 at 11:00am at the Federated Church of Orleans, 162 Main St, Orleans, MA. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Eleanor’s memory to an animal shelter or charity of your choice.
