On November 24th heaven gained one incredible angel who will forever be in our hearts. She was the daughter of Else (Martinius) and Otto Weise of Germany. Frances was predeceased by her husband of more than 50 year, Dr. Philip Birmingham. Frances was also predeceased by siblings George Weise, Elsie Sullivan, Helen Langley, and Margaret (Peggy) Spencer; and is survived by Robert and Jean (Lieberg) Weise.
Frances, also known as Fran, is also survived by her two daughters and their husbands Carol (Birmingham) and Arthur McCarron, FL; Jean (Birmingham) and John Comeau, MA; and her three sons Richard, NV; Donald and David, both of MA. A loving grandmother to Kathryn (McCarron), husband Brett Simarrian; and Natalie Comeau; and great-grandmother to the newest addition to the family, Brynn Simarrian.
Fran was born December 13, 1928, in Newton, MA. This is where she and Philip raised their 5 children, and was the guiding force of her family. Her thoughtfulness and sense of humor remains unparalleled and will be dearly missed. She loved to bake, especially themed birthday cakes, pies, cookies, and German chocolate brownies, which the entire family would fight over for the biggest piece. She loved animals and volunteered for many years at her favorite animal sanctuary—Big Cat Habitat, Sarasota, FL. A Celebration of Life is planned for summer 2021. In loving memory of Fran, when you bake, spend special time with family or loved ones, laugh, or are enjoying the love of animals, think of her. We know we are.
